
Dr. Richard Alvarado

Powell Law Group is happy to welcome Dr. Richard Alvarado to our firm as a Consultant. Richard graduated from Texas A&M University Kingsville with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education followed by a Master of Science in Educational Administration. In 2001, Richard earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University. After graduating with his Masters, Richard immediately began a career in the
educational field as a teacher at San Antonio ISD. He also served as a principal at a San Antonio elementary before serving as Assistant Superintendent in Curriculum and Instruction for Southside ISD. From 2013-2020, Richard served as the Executive Director at Education Service Center Region 2. Richard currently serves as the Associate Director for Education Service Center Region 20, and as a faculty member for both the University of Phoenix-San Antonio Campus and Concordia University Texas-San Antonio Campus.
Richard has a rich career history working in numerous areas within the educational field and will be a valuable asset to both our team of attorneys and the school districts we serve.
Richard will be based out of our Corpus Christi office. We’re so happy to have him on our team as we continue our mission of serving Texas public schools!
