Harsharan Kaur is a first-generation Sikh Punjabi American with experience in construction litigation, estate planning, tax litigation, and immigration law. She is originally from the state of New Jersey and holds bar licenses in both the states of New Jersey and Texas.
Prior to joining PLG, Harsharan was employed by a tax litigation firm where she represented various appraisal districts in connection with several different types of property value disputes. In August of 2023, Harsharan served as second chair in a jury trial where she was victorious in a complicated tax litigation lawsuit related to a value dispute of a condominium unit located in downtown Austin; this case resulted in a verdict that raised the certified value of the property, which is considered to be extremely rare for appraisal district defendants in the tax litigation industry.
Harsharan is an active member of the Austin Bar Association, Austin Young Lawyers’ Association, and the Travis County Women’s Lawyers’ Association. Harsharan is also trilingual – being fluent in Punjabi and proficient in Hindi.
On her free time, Harsharan enjoys playing soccer and volleyball and spending time with her husband and her two dogs.
