Keri Barnett began her career in education in 1988 as an English teacher. Since then, she has also served in Texas public schools as librarian, counselor, district curriculum director, and director of federal and special programs. She retired from the Region 14 Education Service Center as a curriculum consultant but has continued to work in schools as a TEA monitor and conservator and as an AVID district director.
