Cindy Michaels joined the firm in 2016 as a Special Education Consultant. She is the owner of SOS: Strategic Out-Source Services and has consulted with special education administrators and other professionals for almost 20 years in Texas, New Mexico, and states with Bureau of Indian Education schools.

She specializes in support services to develop and maintain special education compliance at the individual student and program levels.

Cindy is a former public school administrator in Texas with more than

40 years in education. She served as director of special education in both a thirteen-district shared service arrangement for 2,000+ students with disabilities and in a single-member district for 500+ students with disabilities. She was director of other district special service programs; an instructional services consultant in a Texas Regional Education Service Center; and an educational diagnostician, clinical trainer, and faculty associate at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She was a teacher in special education, general education, and at the university level.
